M/S “Zosima Shashkov”

This four-deck vessel, which bears the name of a minister of the Sea and River Fleet of the USSR, was built in 1986 and can hold up to 296 passengers.

M/S Zosima Shashkov is a classical, medium-class ship, one of the many built in Germany specially for sailing the Russian waterways – rivers, canals and lakes. The ship has undergone several renovations and refurbishing, last in 2013, is equipped with modern navigation facilities and conforms to all safety requirements.

All 154 passenger cabins are simply but nicely and practically furnished, featuring large panoramic windows that open (except on lower deck), private bathroom with shower / toilette, air-condition, refrigerator and 220V sockets.

Elegant public areas feature Reception, two restaurants where all the meals are served in one sitting, Night Club with live music and a panoramic Piano Bar. Sun Deck is equipped with sun beds and tables. There is a Souvenir shop with a good choice of Russian souvenirs and a Doctor’s room on board.

Free Wi-Fi in designated areas.

Zosima Shashkov’s two restaurants serve European cuisine, along with traditional Russian fare. Breakfast is a buffet spread, while lunch is usually a hearty meal that features at least one Russian soup – an essential staple on most lunch menus in Russia. Dinner can be something of an event onboard Zosima Shashkov. There are themed nights that highlight the food of various Russian local regions and the ship’s chefs pull out all the stops for the Captain’s dinner, which often showcases Russian culinary specialties.
