Day by Day Cruise Itinerary
After arrival at Vienna airport. Transfer to the traditional Vienna Magic of Advent, the Rathausplatz becomes a shining fairy-tale land. Over the 150 sales stands used to offer Christmas gifts, Christmas tree decorations, sweets and warming drinks.
Next stop will be Christmas village on Maria-Theresien-Platz, situated between the Museum of Fine Arts and the Natural History Museum where 70 stands offering traditional handicrafts and original gift ideas.
Embarkation. Welcome drink, presentation of the captain and his crew and dinner onboard.
Short City tour 2 – 2 ½ hours: State Opera, the Parliament Building, Burgtheatre, Votiv-Church. Graben and Kohlmarkt, St. Michael Square, to the entrance of the Hofburg.
On the way back visiting the Old Viennese Christmas Market on Freyung in the city center is committed to tradition. A Christmas market was held here as early as 1772; today, it is a place to buy handicrafts, glass decorations, traditional cribs and ceramics where the festive Advent music play in the background, all the time. Top-quality handicrafts can also be purchased a couple of steps further along at the Am Hof Advent Market.
Lunch at around 13:30 and sail towards Budapest.
Morning Bus city sightseeing tour of Budapest 2 – 2 ½ hours. Time to visit Great Market Hall, dating from the end of 19th century, where shopper appetite could explode: strings of red paprika and garlic, Hungarian salamis, sausages, hams and other meat products, fresh pastries, dairy products, Hungarian wines and pálinka, just will give you a lot of shopping ideas.
In the afternoon the shopping tour at the end of the main pedestrian Váci street, just in the heart of the city, Vörösmarty Square turns into a festive marketplace. More than hundred cottage-style wooden stalls and two outdoor stages take over one of Budapest’s most attractive spots during the couple of weeks proceeding the end-of-the-year holidays. You can smell the scent of traditional honey cookies, mulled wine.
Arriving in the afternoon and a panoramic city tour by the small tourist train 1 ½ hours.
Free time in Bratislava – Christmas shoppers paradise at the Main Square, which is each year since the opening from 1993, more and more popular and if you better like in Eurovea, or some other shopping malls in the city, where you’ll be surprised with the quality, quantity and low prices of goods.
And in the evening Captains gala dinner.
After breakfast, at 09:00, disembarkation and transfer to the airport.
