Day by Day Cruise Itinerary

  • Bucharest - Giurgiu

    Arrival in Bucharest airport in the afternoon hours.

    City sightseeing tour (approximately 3 hours) including all major sites and President Caussescu's "People's House", World's second largest building. Only the construction costs of this building amount to 10 billions USD.

    After city sightseeing, one hours drive by coach to Port Giurgiu and embarkation on M/S Der kleine Prinz.

    Departure to Delta of  Danube

  • Tulcea

    Full board services

    • – Earlier in the morning arriving to the end of Danube – “ZIRO POINT” of navigation through the river, the last line where Danube enter in Black Sea. The ship turning back and slowly sail by Sulina, the last place on Danube before the sea, the place which is not connected with other  part of country by road.
    • – At lunch time arrival in Tulcea
    • – After the lunch start to sailing in Danube Delta – UNESCO World Heritage Center, with excursion boat, predicted for this area. The Danube delta hosts over 300 species of birds as well as 45 freshwater fish species in its numerous lakes and marshes. The tour will continue up to the dinner, when boat will approach the ship in Tulcea.
    • – Dinner on board in Tulcea
    Optional: Concert of Romanian folk-dance music – Ensemble “Balade Deltei”
    • – Border exit formalities and start to sailing to Moldavia.
    • – Entertainment in the bar on board

  •  Moldavia

    In the morning arrival in Giugiulesti, port in the mouth of river Prut in Danube. After breakfast start by coach on the tour – some 20 km from the ship, to one of the largest Moldavian wineries “Vinaria din Vale” – Valley Winery, from which cellar wines got several Decanter World Wine Awards. There will be introduced the last modern technology of wine production and testing of some wines from cellar of this winery. In continue visit the village Valeni, some 15 min drawing from winery:

    • – Visit of small museum of this village, after what visit “Vatra Neamului” (Heart of nation) small ethno-complex in the village.
    • – After meeting the group, according the Moldavian traditions, with wine and bread, there will be presented short ethno program which will continue with traditional lunch and folklore music and dances, where the clients could take participation.

    Afternoon is predicted visiting one of Gagauzian smaller private wineries, “Kara Gani”, where will be presented family with their tradition wine tasting and som of Gaguzian national food products, like gözleme, goat cheese and similar. Gagauzes are Turkish population in Moldavia, who lives in autonomy part of this country and for difference from the other Turkish population, speaking they own language, which has Turkish origin and they have Orthodox Christian religion.

    • – Early evening return back to the ship.

    • – Departre back to Romania – Chernavoda (Constanta)
    • – Entertainment in the bar.

  • Chernavoda-Constanta

    Full board services In the morning arrival in Chernavoda, Romania

    • – After breakfast start by coach to Constanta, ancient Tomis – a little bit more than 1 hour driving. In continue is sightseeing of the city passing near famous building of old casino with visiting of Museum of National History and Archeology with known mosaics from Roman time.
    • – After return on board continue sailing to Rouse, Bulgaria
    • – Lunch on board.
    • – Afternoon sailing
    • – Captain’s Gala Farewell Dinner
    • – Entertainment in the bar

  • Rouse, Bulgaria

    • – In the morning hours sailing up the Danube
    • – In the first half of day arrival in Rouse, the biggest Bulgarian city on Danube bank
    • – Lunch
    • – After the lunch city tour of Rouse, by coach and walking
    • – Dinner
    • – Entertainment in the bar

  • Veliko Tarnovo (Rouse)

    • – After breakfast departure by coach to Veliko Tarnovo (one and half hour driving), medieval capitol of Bulgaria, often referred to as the "City of the Tsars" and known with their three hills Tsarevets, Trapezitsa, and Sveta Gora. Tsarevets are the palaces of the Bulgarian emperors and the Patriarchate, the Patriarchal Cathedral, and also a number of administrative and residential edifices surrounded by thick walls. Trapezitsa is known for its many churches and as the former main residence of the nobility.
    • – On the way back stop in the picturesque village Arbanasi, interesting with its specific preserved architecture (Church of the Nativity of Christ in Arbanasi, old house)
    • – Lunch is during the tour – national Bulgarian food
    • – Late afternoon return to the ship
    • – Dinner on board.
    • – After dinner crossing the Danube back to Romania to Giurgiu – overnight there
    • – Entertainment in the bar

  • Giurgiu, Bucharest

    After the breakfast, disembarkation and start to Bucharest

    In the case that is on the first day is late arrival flight, the city tour of Bucharest should be on this day.

    Transfer to the Airport.
